Saying “dominants get raped too!” is pointless. Of course we do. But we don’t get raped FOR BEING DOMINANT. We’re the ones with the power on that axis. It’s usually for some other axis where we lack power that the shit hits the fan.

And I know that that’s not what you would think of when you first hear of a woman ‘dominating’ a man, but the point is that the man is still kind of the center of attention, he’s still the authentic human being - the dominant one, and the woman is just kind of there to give him pleasure, it’s just that he gets pleasure in a non-traditional way.

I could go on, but why bother when there’s the simple statistics: In an NCSF study it turned out 30% of those in the BDSM scene had experienced a consent violation, next to 20% of the general population. And other studies showed even higher levels of consent violation. A Dutch study among kinksters showed 65% in the scene had experienced a consent violation.
BDSM talks the talk when it comes to consent, but is disasterous when it comes to walking the walk.
# о поддержании двух сторон в споре (ппкс)Basically, that it seems as though sex negative feminism focuses on criticisms of all forms of sex except the non-paid cishet vanilla kind. I find it highly suspicious that the targets of sex negative feminism should be the same as those of conservatives and patriarchy. I find that it often works to police women and queer people’s sexuality in the name of feminism, which is all kinds of fucked up. And it means that the most dangerous form of sexuality - non-paid cishet vanilla relationship sex - is somehow miraculously exempt.
However, I don’t think that this should stop feminist and queer BDSM practitioners from critically examining our communities and the way that we do BDSM. Hell knows cishet BDSM is pretty fucking disastrous, and I’m sure that there are a lot of problems with queer and trans* BDSM communities as well (I can’t testify to that because I’m not familiar with any - but there’s sexual violence and oppression everywhere, including in our communities).
So - I do both sides of this argument.
